p12 bell housing?
If i was to buy a p12 bellhousing what transmission and axles would I use? I know its probably a spec V, but what year and where can I get one(tranny) at a decent price. I really want a short geared 6 speed in my VE!!

thanks

First off non of the Spec V transmission are going to be short geared.

Any Spec V tranny from 02-09 will work

As far as axles go there will be a little fabrication with mix matching axles

Best transmission is a

B13 - B14 SER box with 4.4 FD ( Ring And Pinion ) installed.

if not use a SR16VE gearbox

Thanks, I guess I will just stick with my sr16ve. The problem is it has 5th gear pop out, which I have to find somebdoy to fix locally. I am assuming any decent tranny palcee should be able to do it as long as I bring them the parts. Another issue is for the price of getting the 5th gear fixed I could just buy another sr16 tranny.....lol

you have any spare sr16 trannys for sale? If so how much shipped to 19018 PA

Also again dont forget about that intake manifold. I need your paypal.....

^Dre, I rode in two quick SR20VE's this past weekend, and I must say that a SR20VE fully bolted with N1's and a SR16VE tranny is a d*mn good match for what I would be looking for in a daily. The only problem is the 5th gear in which I discussed with nissansr20nx.

I would not want to be sitting at 4000-4200 at 75-80MPH. I would much rather be around 3500 or lower. Which G20/SR20 tranny for that matter has the longest 5th gear? If I was to replace the 5th gear in the orginial SR16VE tranny with a longer 5th gear, this is would be the perfect setup for me on a daily driver.

^Also, what are your thoughts on this final drive? Not only N/A, but turbo as well.

the rpm will be higher in 5th gear with a 4.7 final.

note to anyone swapping bell housing, get all new c-clips and punch pins for the gear stack.

Short gears are absolutely awesome... for anyone who loves corners.

Group buy is very interesting, too bad ive already bought P11 GT tranny.

^I like the feel of the SR16VE tranny, but if I had it in my daily driver I would like the 5th gear to be longer. N/A or Turbo, I don't know why you anybody would want a short 5th gear.

Sure, for daily its annoying to have short 5th gear.
