yeah i'ma try out switching at 4600 tomarrow. actually now that i remember that's when i was switching on the vet. full boost by 3-3500 rpm then vvl at 4500, then wheel spin city! awe good times.

It depends on what cams your running.

I got N1s and crossover is set @ 5.2K

Also im running the Calum SR20VE/SR16VE cams bin

that's why i was thinkin lower mybe better. i only have stock sr20ve cams.

Stock SR20VE cams would be 4.8K I think. Don't quote me.

afaik we're talkin about stock cams, im not really sure when im gonna be able to dyno... kinda low on funds atm.. but when i do i will def post up as much as i can with all the different setups im gonna try..

When I had 20ve cams I found 4600 to be best also, give it a try, you wont go back to 4800.

man i can't wait till tomarrow now, i'm thinkin the vvl should hit harder, but i keep reminding myself this an't no turbo car. he he. i gotta put an alternator on first though.. booooo!!

the vvl hits harder for me when i goes up in rpm......the lower is the less it hits

i think the key is to have a smooth transition, if your setting it to a higher rpm, the reason it "hits harder" is cause u were runnin outta breath with the low lobes an when the high lobes finally kicked in, it got to get back into its powerband

well atleast thats the way i see it lol if im wrong lemme know
