I am going to assume that you have set the base idle already via FSM...

I know it seems like a stupid question,but...
Have you checked the throttle cable adjustment?
Try to loosen it or unhook it totally and see if the idle drops. If it is a tad too tight,it will keep the throttle body open ever so slightly.
I ask because you said it runs good otherwise.
I believe if you had a bad tps or maf you would have other issues besides just idle.

i have finely tuned my throttle cable, i modifyed the ve one to work, all it took was a little grinding.. very simple.. i got it perfect to where it sits closed but right as i press the pedal it opens, took me some tinkering hehe

and ya i set the timing to 17* but it still idles at 1100-1200 even when the timing was at 12*
thanks for the advice tho

its a few months old and from calum.. not saying it couldnt be bad, but i think its very unlikely.. as i said the car runs perfect, except for this problem.. thanks for the advice

that vacume hose you have on the back of the intake manifold where do you have it run? the one you are pinching.

Are you still running the stock VE throttle body?

it runs from the intake pipe to the throttle body

thats your high idle. that hose if its on the intake manifold should run to the charcol canister. if you have it run into the intake your bypassing the throttle plate and causing a high idle. if you can cap off the intake manifold nipple and the one on the intake and see what happens.

ummm?? thats how they all are??? i've 2 se-rs an 3 motors.. all with different cold air intake setups.. that little tiny hose has been on every one in the same position.. even the ve when it was delieverd had the stock rubber intake pipe and thats how it was hooked up..

not sayin your wrong but i think maybe confused?? if not then i must be goin nuts..

oh an when that hose is unplugged from the tb it also lowers idle i think.. i will tinker more with it later
