Which way to go??
Ok, here's the deal...... Picked up a b14 with a ve, want to put it in a b13 with the wiring harness in place.
Do I/can I swap the ve w/ the b14 harness into the b13 as a whole......
Or is it easier to just yank out the motor/tranny and modify the harness as necessary??
Please bear your responses in mind that..
1 this is my first nissan swap.
2 I'm not electrically the swiftest of people

I've read thru here, but I would like to hear which way you think is the best way to go and why. Also, being a one man operation, any reminders, or tips to make the whole process better....Mike

What ECU(s) are you working with?

Is your B13 an SE-R/NX2K? If so it would be easier to use that harness and distro (if you have those bits). I guess you want to keep the B14 ECU but I personally would just sell it and get a Calum Basic or RT for the B13.

As Benito said, if the B13 is a 2.0 car, just use the harness that came with it. If not, I'd still suggest finding a B13 2.0 harness rather than trying to hack the B14 harness up to work with it. Good to see another VE car in SC though

Personally, I would suggest RT over basic if you can get it. My basic has a terrible cold start tune.

Its a n2k..... have the harness, and have a dist off another motor if needed.....
Why not use the ve dist????

Read these. It will save you a ton of time and money. Plus if you like VEs you will enjoy them. Personally I like the third one the best.
