sr16ve w/ sr20ve cams on de block
I know that sr20ve head/cams on non RR de block = no clearance issues

But any valve issues with a sr16ve head with sr20ve cams on a highport block? I have a line on this but dont want to ruin a good motor and head if there will be problems.

That's the exact setup you just desrcribed saying "=no clearance issues"

The SR16 head with SR20ve cams is essentially an SR20Ve head. There won't be any issues.

so then I guess my next question is the reliability of a VE head on a DE block. I know it's been done a few times, but I didnt see where it was listed as being reliable or not. Anyone have any experience with that? I guess I should pm luis but wasn't sure if there was anyone else who has done it with great success.

also, I read I will need a ve oil pump - the guy said he has a sr16 oil pump. I imagine that won't fit the sr20de block, right?

They work just fine.

You don't have to have ve oil pump, but it is nice to have. They bolt up just the same. Just have to switch out crank pulley and spacer also.

excellent - That way I can also use my lightweight pullies!

The head also has 1.6 everything else, will that bolt up to a 2.0 de block (the intake manifold is what i'm most worried about, unless there are other parts i'm unaware of that dont fit)
