Thread: summit-830452 rpm activated switch, havin problems..

basicly i hooked it up and nothin.. i used the blue/black wire for rpm signal i use a good ground, cig lighter for 12v swtiched power.. had the solenoids hooked up.. so i unhooked the ground and power an hooked them straight to the battery, double checked the rest of the wires, tryed again.. nothin..
the thing isnt even lighting up or anything.. im assuming it lights up how else would i adjust it.. and it must be a touch screen type of thing cause theres no switches or buttons on it either.. im stumped, help please! lol thanks

i got my digital summit rpm switch working like

black wire from summit box-grounded it to the motor
red wire-12 volts,positive on solenoids was spliced into it also(for the time being
purple wire-hooked up to solenoid grounds
white wire-hooked up to blue/black wire by ecu
blue wire-unused
yellow wire-unused

hope that helps....if not you got a bum switch,because its supposed to light up to make settings

i think its bum for sure cause i even tryed hookin it up directly to the battery an still a no go hope they'll take it back..

im thinkin about tryin to rig something up to run off this tach my buddy has, it has a shift light on it.. thinkin i can maybe hook it up to where the shift light is.. other then havin a big ugly tach in my car i think it would work fine.. until i get another window switch anyway
