From what I've seen SR16 cams won;t work well unless you have a tubluar manifold. Log/short runner manifolds won't work well with the SR16 cams imo.

BTW VE+T is hella fun!

so your saying stock cams??? what if cam gears were thrown in to shift the power? I was planning on MAYBE and a big maybe on trying and boosting my VE but not until everything is fixed and dialed in. I'd rather just boost my JDM RR which is very very peppy and I think would love a t25 or t28

Basically I will keep the VE n/a even though it sounds fun, but I have bad luck and will just lighty boost the RR motor instead.

Goodluck you guys!

Thats what I am thinking. the only issue is that my one piston on the VE has a nick on it from the bent valve form the old head so i am just going to try a new head and HG and hope the piston doesn't overheat......I am thinking as long as i don;t beat on it and not rev past 8200 I should be fine and still have a nice fun VVL powered car...I HOPE:o

While my t28 boosted JDM RR will be my DD

Make sure you smooth the nick out on the piston so there are no sharp edges.

Yeah we plan to do what we can. Its not a real nick per say, but something you see. I just hope it holds up.........

The new head is getting shipped monday so it will be here by the end of the week, then it goes to be decked, then metal VE HG, ARPS, and pray..........:o

Since I had to trade my N1's for the head I am now going back to sr16's and not revving above 8K.
