what i was gonna say is i think the t25 wont be able to support that kind of boost w the high cams engauged because the head is out flowing the turbo so much...

I do not know about xs boost controllers, but surely that cant be the source of your problem or they are real pos's! Turbotechs (the cheap boost controller i recommend) will hold boost a lot better than that.

I am thinking you are running out of compressor to have such a drop in boost

Guys we have put together a handful of T-25 powered VE's and they have held boost just fine.

Here is a breakdown of what I have (anything I missed I will add later)

VEHead/DE Block with regular sr20ve Pistons
W10t25 kit
370 @ 4 bar
n60 maf
2 1/4 Hotside Piping
2 1/2 Coldside Piping
3 inch dp
2.5 inch exhaust
Oldman Chipped Ecu w/ 370,4bar, n60, program of my choice
S-AFC
10.8 fidanza
g spec crank pulley
stock clutch act hd pp
Turbo XS mbc (POS)

First Pass:
@7psi + 233 whp 227 trq SAE

and it pretty much stayed there lol

The mbc could not hold boost, as soon as he VVL kicked in boost droppe to stock.

@14 psi 274trq at 4.1K, 263whp @ 4.1k then the boost just fell flat on it's face. Next time I'm going with an ebc, 3 inch exhaust and with my own burner hopefully. Made about 16 passes nothing worked wiith the mbc.

Pretty happy with the chipped ecu, barely had to take off any fuel, it was n the 10.2-10.6 range, just got it up to 11.4-11.6 range. Made no difference in power, just a little extra in the midrange.

Wanna run it now?

^^Lol, when you coming back out?

Vex, I've been going to twilight for some time now. It's just a 10min if that, plus Brandon is real cool peeps.

Well I'm looking at sourcing an
AEM TRU BOOST to see how it works out. Problem is definately the boost controller, swapped it out for an ebay one and it's alot better but the boost still drops.

KLGH TOO YOU TOO CORY!

lol j/k

Did you keep the SR16 cams with the T25?

do not get the aem tru boost. i have it and was not happy iwth it. its a pain in the ass to set. and it hurts your fingers lol. its a lot easier to have a seperate boost controler and gauge.

BUT its spot on with consistency.

but i feel there are way better units out there.
