gasket pattern difference between ve-head on sr20det block (s14)
Hi,

i plan to put a ve-head on my s14 sr20det-block. It appears that one oil-wholes (where the oil is getting down from the head to the oil sump) are different. Any ideas/experience to that item?

Do a search. You have to block off a oil galley hole and run a new oil line to the head.

Hi Guys,

thanks for your answer, i know that write-down, but its not what i mean. The link shows how to put a ve-head onto a FWD-sr20-car but NOT how to put a ve-head on a RWD-sr20-car (like240sx). The RWD-sr20-cars have different oil-return-pattern. So does anyhow have specific experience in ve-head swaps on silvias?
I try to find photos to make my point clear.

The oil drain on the rear of the block on the starter side is different than the FWD heads. I believe you have to plug this on the block and enlargen another one of the holes in the head. If you overlay a FWD DE and RWD DET gaskets you will see the difference very easy.
