Again you can say 9k w/ stock springs and retainers is not safe all you want but we are talking 3 years of absolute torture on this motor and again, never a single problem with it. Me personally, I wouldnt hesitate to take a stock spring and retainer n1 cam VE to 9k all day long.

Ok cool, so since I have the N1 cams AND supertech valve springs (the SPRK-H1022D) I should be able to do 9k+

without a doubt in the back of your mind. lol

I take my n1 cam ve to 9800 and it saw 10,200 during one pass. Again not an na application but still. Same concept, you want to rev to where you still make good power.

i have a stock ve, and have seen 11300 on a mis shift, went to grab third and got first.

my limit is set at 8000rpm, full stock but a tune, with ems. and my power just climbs and climbs after 7000 rpm, but we cut it off at 8000

Storm run the virtual dyno or take it to real dyno and see where you make peak power then set the limiter from that point.

well you dont want to set the limiter at peak power if power doesnt nose dive or if power holds past that. You want to set it to where its going to give you the highest average whp during your lowest rpm drop during a shift. Pretty simple math can help you figure out the best place to set it. You want to give yourself the most useable powerband with the most power. Simple as that.

N1 cams normally peak around 8100-8200 but they will hold really good power out to 9000-9200 depending on mods. A dyno is the only real place to get the most spot on rev limiter set that will give you the broadest powerband.

When I said go from that point I meant ID the point of Peak power and go few hundred RPMs after that. Found a old Dyno from my friends VE. We were testing Frankling Stage 3 cams vs OEM N1's. He had a 3" exhaust and a 20V header with a 3" secondary on it.

ill remember these when I put in my N1s....though ill play with the nnon n1s first...

so on this this sheet from thats a lot of power from 6800to 8800, what rev limit was it set?
