support the people who support the community.

I support Charles

I got his 4 into 1 header for my 2.3L motor.

When the cams come out you know I will have a set in my car. I got to support my idea and Chales cleaning it up a bit.

This will be a great street cam

Amen.

I bought a set of custom cams from Charles a while back when I was NA and I hope he puts together a good turbo cam. I would buy another set for sure.

Its great to see some cams being made for the ve's...but i personally want some turbo grind cams to be made & im sure there would be a bunch of other people keen for them also.
Hopefully with a bit of luck after these 20ve/N1's are made and sold they will see the market for us ve guys & cater with the turbo stuff.

I have already made one turbo grind about 2 1/2 years ago. I have also done another since then, just need to test it out. There is no drop in turbo grind. you must have valve springs. The turbo grind have a lot of lift and area.

the hard part is having to work 7 days a week to pay all the bills and work on the stuff that makes the money to pay them. This cam and intake manifold development had to stop because it was all cash and time out of my own pocket which i can no longer afford. The economy up here in the NW has only been getting worse for the last year or 2. Its pretty bad right now. I had to sell almost everything out of my own car to keep paying the bills because work died down so much. If i had my own car running and driving again, then all of this would pick back up again and get done much faster. Having to rely on other people and using their vehicles for testing works but its not the best way to do things in my opinion.... It is how things have to be done at this point though which is great for those locals here that let me use their time and cars but they do know that they get the best deals on everything as well...

Anyways, I do have plenty of designs to test on the cams and a few little things here and there to change, but that may or may not happen....

We ran the dyno day here with a bunch of the VE engines getting tested in their different configurations. Darryl had EVLNXR there & it was running the combo 20V/N1 grind but unfortunately his car was running lean and a proper test wasn't done before the car was sold.

The top torque figures came from EVLNXR (580nm) & his other car (530nm) which were both 20V engines, EVLNXR running the hybrid cam & R3SPCT running the straight up 20V engine with the cat removed.

Amdeman's N1 powered car beat everything in power & his torque was not far off the 20Vs (510nm) but he has an unopened block so... if we were to stick those hybrid cams on a standard SR20VE would they actually make huge figures over just running an N1 considering the difference in compression with the 20V & it's ability to hold timing due to the superior cooling?

It's good that this will be tested but caution folk against bouncing their N1s until a decent apples-for-apples test is done.
