VVL Does not work all the time?
I started having this issue about a month ago and thought it was the ECU but it isnt.

The 1st time my car is on the VVL does not function, only after the car is warmed up, turned off, sits for a minute, then turned back on will the VVL work.

I have no idea what could be causing this issue, any ideas?

again, it works after the car has been driven then turned off for a minute or 2.

Explain a bit more.

Car will not rev to vvl points if cold - assuming u using stock ecu.

Is the motor getting enough air?

Have checked your solenoids?

Peace

the car revs all the way up. The vvl is set at 5200 RPM. The vvl has worked for over a year, but all the sudden now its doing this =/

Maybe throw some power and a ground to each solenoid individually and see if you can hear them click over when cold as compared to hot.

If you're using the MSD window switch, it could just have gone bad. Happened to me, but after about 2.5 years.
