Thread: Differences Between SR16ve and SR20 LSD Tranny?

I retunred the tranny and got my refund without any issues (since we agreed on some terms from day 1).

Got me one of the older tranny but hopes it will work out fine. It's from the 90-95 GTS Sunny (JDM). It's a SR18 tranny.

Only thing I see so far is that I will need to change the speed sensor. This one is manual and my car is electronic.

Can some one compare the ratios and final drive of this tranny with the sr16ve tranny?

Also, wondering how it will feel on the 1/4 and on the highways, compared to the sr16ve tranny.

I am running it on a sr20ve.

Its from a 91-92 GTS

The 93-95 GTS have electic speedo.

Remeber if you want the SR16VE feel you can take out the ring and pinion from the Sr16VE and put it in the SR20DE tranny.

So will I need to do this for the SR18de? or will the sr18de tranny feels will be close enough to the sr16ve 'feel'.

Should know by tomorrow, though.

The sr16ve tranny not yet pulled up so will see what happens

I am not sure what gears come in a SR18DE.

the green is an N14 Pulsar GTI and the red is VZR

N14 gti had an sr18de too so it should have similar ratios but then nissan did some wacky shizz back then

It says the SR20DE and SR18DE have the same 4.17 Final drive. It also has the same 1st to 4th gear as a SR20DE but with a quicker 5th gear than the SR20DE

I Like that SR18DE gear box with a 4.44 FD in it.
