What's the highest compression ratio anyone has run with DET pistons and a VE head? Are 11:1 slugs totally out of the question without the valve reliefs? We would be talking 11.8:1 with no valve reliefs, has anyone tried or done any measuring?

I might do this to my stock usdm sr20 motor in my 200sx! Then boost it.....

But what wiring needs to be changed???

Stock 200sx ser or g20 ecu would work better?

nc full documentation.. just wondeirng if this would be the same on gtir engine? although it aside that the need to drill out the ve head to fit the gtir stud bolt?

Hi, I need an advice from SR20 gurus :-) I have P11 (P11-144, facelifted Primera) and I´m planning VE head swap on my DE or put tomei poncams to my DE. My question is: Will I need piggyback to run VE head on DE block with my DE ecu, or no? In my country everybody say, that piggyback is needed due to lean mixture - result to detonation. But on other forums say DE ecu (with DE fuel map, ingnition timing map etc.) will serve good. RPM switch is obvious.
I know VE has potential much higher than 200 hp with piggyback tune up, but I'm limited by my CVT transmission which was faktory attached to SR20VE with 197 Nm (145 lb)

Totally depends on how reliable/much power you want.

I know I wouldn't run a hybridVE with a DE ECU...

So that means that piggyback is needed.
I think, that if MAF notice more air, due to longer opening and higher lift of valve when cams are activated, ecu will add more fuel. And when are deactived, ecu will decrease fuel due to shorter opening and lower lift of valve than stock DE cams based on signal from O2 sensor and MAF. Will this work? Maybe a could synchronize the point when open loop is activate with cams activate, to supply enough fuel.

A have rpm limiter at aprox. 6900 with DE ecu. I know, I will miss the top power, but I need to miss the high torque due to a transmission (no more over 200 Nm). The power of stock VE could be enough for me in comparision to DE. Maybe more HP, but no more Nm.

Engine:
SSAC exhaust header + downpipe
SR20VE air duct + 7.5 in velocity stack + AEM dryflow
Unorthodox Racing crankshaft + water pump pulleys
Denso TT platinum spark plugs
300 ZX fuel filter

Chassis:
KYB Ultra SR front shock absorber + KYB Exel-G (GT type) rear shock absorber
EBC Turbo Groove brake discs + EBC GreenStuff
Primera GT front strut bar

I'm looking to do this swap soon . Any good power gains ? Would N1 cams work?
