Id injectors use uscar ev14 clips. Go on ebay and look for Ford or Chevy ev14 clips u can get 8 for like 20-30$

In the old aem software u needed to set the ignition values flat to set timing but By the last update for the v1 software they
fixed it so u don't have to when u hit fixed timing.

on my s15 subharness there are 2 wires that are looped out and i have to use both to get a timing light to work. so maybe its a case of having to use multiple wires off the number one coil.
they make a test light for coils that u can use to do this trick. it shows you when the coil fires and its a regular plug wire so u can attach a timing light to it.

In all honesty having the regulator un hooked in my na car with a manifold made tunning part throttle easier and I was able to run small o2 feed back + - values as low as 2-3%
