auto b14 ecu into b15?
im curious if anyone has ever done this. i want to put a p10 or b14 ecu into my b15, but i dont know if it will work how i would it it to, being my car is an auto.

couple q's:

1. would it work, or would i spit CEL's?
2. would i need an auto b14 trans ecu?
3. what is the rev limit on an auto b14?

basically im thinking about swapping over a b14 ecu, and have the auto shift points switched to the higher rpm of 7500. this way i can get the jwt springs and cams and it wouldnt be a useless thing to do.

i would rev it no higher than 7550 for the sake of the 4cw crank.

That guy Koojo should know, probably Fullish too?

u are going to need to swap the wire harness if i not mistaken

Naw, he can get a b15 -> b14 adapter harness made.

to my understanding, i know that aa b14 ecu can be put into the b15. i know that there is a diagram around for wiring in a b14ecu into the b15. i just dont know if it would work going from auto to auto.

possibly, it might be easier to just get the technosquare rev limit reflash for the higher rpms, and i wonder if they can change the auto shift point as well. i know they can do it for spec's, but i see no reason why it cant happen for a se.

the shift points are in the tcu, correct?

I'm pretty sure the b15 uses ECUs that P11s use. IE: B14 ECUs cant be straight plug into B15s. I think you are refering to the early modle B14s and late modle B14s with the switching some pins around.

EDIT: Acording to the FSM the B14 and B15 use diffrent ECU plug ins, ie diffrent ECUs. He would need a B14 -> B15 adapter or need to rewire a b14 harness to work in a b15... which is WAY to much work in my opinion.

Contact MR. Sentra on the other forums, he actually did it. He used the B14 wiring harness as well. He had a 2000 Sentra RR that he put a BB turbo kit on. Don't know if he still has it but it's the only person I have know personally that did it. Hope that helps.

Also, ask Calum. I heard through a source that there's gonna be an auto ecu sold (if it isn't sold already). As the auto needs to be tuned differently than the manual.

And...you can buy a standalone TCU that the Supra guys use to change your shift points. About $350 or something. Found it on nicoclub or g35driver or something. I think some G35 guys are starting to use it.

i know that i would have to rewire a b14 harness to work with a b15. overall said and done, its not too hard if you have the pin printouts. just takes a bunch of time. hell, im sure krash(b15) and zerosin(sr20) have wired in a b14 harness. i think shanno has too. so it has been done, and is proven to work and provide quite a bit more tunability.

i do know what im gettin myself into, but id rather do this than spend 1700+ on p11/b15 se trans parts to swap from auto to manual for the time being. for that cost i might as well sell the car and get something else, when a early b14 ecu is way cheaper.

my thing is though, is will switching from auto b15 to an early auto sr20 b14 work the same way, thus providing a cheap way to get an increased rev limit, and some real time tune ability. i pretty much outlaunch a bunch of cars on the street/drag strip, but then it shifts into 2nd, and im left behind being the car is put out of its powerband shifting into 2nd and even worse for 3rd. it also seems that the car just keeps on pullin as soon as i hit the revlimiter too. seems that it has maybe 400 more rpms left in it.

ive been hearing that the 97-99 se-r's auto only rev to about 7100. im not sure on that though. im trying to figure out if the torque converter will be able to handle 7550 rpms or not, as its a deal with auto and manual rx8s, the autos rev to 7500s and the manuals rev to the sky basically.
