NP So you need extra hardware on the board to do this... Tagging off injector driver might work.. though the Stock ECU is sequence fuel it only has 1 IGN output.. you will need 4 outputs or 1,3 for Wasted COP.. Wasted works just as well too..

No I mean it is currently running in sequential. I have the circuit designed to distribute the single ign signal to the coils based on the position of the cam trigger. The distribution works flawlessly per the scope. Just running into some voltage issues I think from my very rudimentary installation.

Humm okay.. Without more knowledge of the setup I would not no where to start to make suggestions ... I am looking forward to seeing your progress. Hope it all works out

Quick update: Hard wired the system in today minus the completed proto-board. Cleared up 90% of the misfire issue. After setting timing repeatedly, I think I have a good idea of what is going on. Seems that with the timing set at 15, it idle rough and misfires a bit. increasing timing to 20, the misfire clears up significantly. This really should be corrected with a daughterboard. Luckily I was able to find the address location for the dwell/voltage and dwell/rpm. Looks like I have to pull the trigger on that and get it installed into a spare b14 ecu and go from there. Realistically, I think this will benefit the most using a Nismotronic ecu. But that's for much later. However now that the basic test platform is assembled and seems to be idling very well, I will move onto the second portion of the design.

This is the main purpose of the concept. The initial platform was designed off of the ls2 coils due to the simplicity and cost effectiveness of external coils. However the design principle is the same and the circuit does not need to be modified at all. So the next real update should be substantial! Proto-board is being had built now using a home made method of etching with muratic acid. Very time consuming. So please bare with me. I am aiming to have a few people running this mod in a few months, they know who they are, and IF all turns out well, beta boards will be available around convention time. Thank all for the support!

In the mean time, if any one can chime in on the base timing issue I am having, I am all ears. Thanks in advance!

Out of sheer luck, Perry Infiniti hooked me up. Called looking for Travis, unfortunately hes no longer with them and they are getting out of JDM parts. They offered to take a look for me and found the last set of 20v spark plug well gasket. Freaking lucky. Got the daughterboard on the way too. Lets hope for good weather this week.

Just got back from seeing my college adviser. He put me in touch with another student of his that does PCB manufacturing. Protoboards should be getting printed up within the next week or two.

Small update. Was not able to get the p12 vc and 1zz coils installed this weekend. Still waiting on some parts needed to complete that. However I have taken my first test drive!! It drove as well as any p11 with 203k miles. The plan now is to get a functioning permanent install completed using the COP setup on my near stock (exhaust only) p11 and get it up to my tuner for comparison testing. The plan is to test the stock distributor against my distributorless ignition system. Also I have been able to work out the misfire issues and will be posting a video showing that here soon.
