Help with Calum RT & TunerPro RT
Hey guys, I recently got my hands on a Calum RT Ecu, Now I've read all the threads and searched but I can't seem to connect the Ecu to the software, I've downloaded the appropriate driver for my laptop which is running Windows Vista & I've downloaded the appropriate .bin file & .xdf for my setup, Do I have to start the car or can I just turn the ignition to the on position? I'm scared to start the car because the previous owner of the Ecu has a DET tune on it, and I have a VE Motor in my car. Thanks for your input in advance !

Thanks, that's what I was doing but no luck. So that rules out having to start the car to get it connected with Tunerpro. Im starting to think the Driver isn't installed properly or it's just not working. I installed as Administrator, Looked in Device Manager and I still didn't see the com port, Will it only be visible when I plug the Ecu in? Or will it show up once installed correctly?

the com port wont become visible untill you plug in the ecu with the key forward.

did you try to restart your computer after driver install? if so try uninstall > restart > install > restart and it should be installed properly.

you may also want to try deleting old / saved com ports so the ecu can take #1

You probably have the wrong driver. There are several to choose from. I went through this the last time I upgraded the laptop I use for my car, and will have to do it again soon lol.

Well, after work today I'll try that, If no luck then I'll do the same with different drivers until one works. If I still can't get through with it, I'll have to send it to someone who has more knowledge. Any takers if all doesn't work??

Getting the software to connect is a pain in the ass. Try right clicking on the software and go to properties and them click on comparability and set it to windows XP. This solved the problem for me when I had a realtime.
