By June they all have basically the same percent. Just gotta watch April through may. Never ran into trouble with the tunes, all the cars have a wideband and are always monitored. Seals and what not aren't a problem in cars after the late 80s. The polymers should outlast the car even with ethanol. Hardest thing about e is having the fuel pump for high horsepower cars. 400+

Less than 350hp. I'm not even sure if it can do that

wow, really? That's surprising. I think I may be close to 350whp @ 17psi. hmmm, didn't think I would ever need to upgrade my fuel pump. What fuel pump would be the next step up? I'm at about 75% IDC @ 12 lbs on my E85 setup. I'd guess if I want to do 17psi I'd probably have to upgrade injectors and fuel pump(s)? eh?

Any of you guys running a E85 content analyzer? Zeitronix ECA : SEMA Award Winning Ethanol Content Analyzer and Flex Fuel Sensor for E-85 and E-85/gasoline Blends

We had the S13 running 414 RWHP on the Walbro 255 lb/hr HP fuel pump with E85 running 3-bar fuel pressure and 22 psi. It was using Nismo 750cc injectors I believe. We switched to gasoline and water/meth after that and upped to 25 psi. The fuel pump was hitting it's limit with E85. You might be able to get a tiny bit more out of it using a higher base pressure.

This was with slightly leaner mixtures than you seem you're comfortable with. Also at times the mixture was close to soteciometric under boost likely because the pump wasn't keeping up. On inspection the turbo's exhaust wheel was bleached white which indicates very lean conditions for long periods of time. When the engine eventually threw a rocker arm and was torn down, there were no signs of detotation anywhere to be found.

I would say 400 WHP on E85 is the safe upper limit for the Walbro 255 lb/hr hp pump.

Nice, but I purchased this...

Although most good stations will know and tell you what blend they have. If it's local, it's good to test 1 station and keep using that station. I keep "2" 5 gallon jugs in my trunk of extra e-85. Filled them up around Oct. 2013 and still test at 85% ethanol a few weeks ago, since the car has been down since then.

Thats a good link, some good discussion. Might consider running E85 if i can verify what % it is.
