Calum RT B14 base tunes
Found two base tunes for B14 with VE injectors and DE MAF, anyone have any experience with these two base tunes? So far the only difference I've seen looking through it through tuner pro are the "E00A - Injector K Value"

CJJ B14-SR20VE-VE INJ-DE MAF.bin - Found here http://www.sr20-forum.com/rom-ecu-tuning-file-exchange/57482-ve-bin.html - K=234

B14 VE-DE.bin - Found here http://www.sr20-forum.com/rom-ecu-tuning-file-exchange/43138-ecu-bins-tunes.html - K=257

If I follow the formula for the injector value in this thread http://www.sr20-forum.com/ecm-tuning/40511-beginners-guide-chipped-ecu-tuning.html, K should be set at 234 yet I have driven on both tunes and the "B14 VE-DE.bin" base tune felt better. Now I do not have a wideband to check my AFRs and I do plan on getting a tune eventually as I know these are just base tunes, but for now I'd like to know your opinions on the performance of these tunes. I will admit that I am completely new to tuning.

Get a wideband, don't even ask any further. No excuse to do it otherwise even temporarily, better don't do anything and park the car.

K 234 is lean, I remember having to start from the 257 one when my setup was similar. Also this number in a base tune is a start, don't be afraid to change it if your car likes differently.

I'm new to this forum and I'm posting here because it looks like you have experience with the calum obd2 ecu.

I'm just about ready to put my sr20ve into my 1999 g20t and I was going to run a JWT ecu but I found a calum obd2 real time v2 ecu and would like to learn about tuning. I was going to use the JWT ecu because it will pass emission/inspections and my obd2 port will stay functional. Will the calum pass emission/inspection as well? It sounds like it will.
