i was throwing timing errors like crazy at idle and breaking up really bad around 5k at the track. Swapped dizzies like everyone else does but they were all old units. Spent the $100 or so dollars on a new one from the store and that got rid of my timing errors

What strikes me as odd is that the signal from the optical wheel cant get messed up. Its a high/low signal to the ecu. Even if the voltage was off ever so slightly, it would still be a high/low depending on min/max voltage readings. and I know at least on the OEM ECU, any variation in the position to reference signal and the engine shuts off. Not sure how AEM deals with this. Now the ignition check wire is what I would suspect is off a bit. That signal is extremely noisy.

LoL I read that while looking at your avatar. Dang man. You set the timing on it and plug it in the harness? Maybe try another distributor.

I was planning to just go with a 20V CAS and do COP. I won't play with it unless I happen to run into ignition issues. Stock OBD2 coil has been doing the job even over 300whp N/A.

did you do this when you swapped dizzy?
