Timing really has no affect on whp?
::EDIT:: Looks like vdyno requires precise sub-second time logs, otherwise it gets everything wrong...

Are you testing this on a Dyno? Try adjusting timing in other areas like at idle, if your idle changes it's working.

I see it changing in logs I take.

This is street dyno w/maf voltage and virtual dyno as verification of no changes.

Unless the ECU is sending logging info which is incorrect or the changes I'm making aren't 'sticking' somewhere other than what the ECU is telling me what the timing is in real-time. Again, can't make sense of what I see.

Go on a real dynojet. $10 bucks says HP increases from base of 12 degrees to 19

I'm not changing the physical timing, I'm only changing it within the soft timing maps. Physical base idle timing is in line w/ECU @ 15*

That's still controversial. The consensus was JWT only tested it at 15

JWT supposedly tested their JWT ECU with timing at 15 only

Yes, base idle timing. I'm not messing w/the physical timing. The ECU and my engine are in sync when it comes to that..both are at 15*

I'm also not using a JWT tune, but I was thinking I could raise the timing physically and see if that does anything. Maybe retard my whole map by 2*(just to be safe I suppose..doesn't seem to matter what I have it set to lol) and raise base idle to 17*.

I also use VD for street tuning but I don't think it is sensitive enough to show you small timing changes. When i put my car on the dyno small changes to the timing map did effect the power output. On the road you can't control load consistancy based on surface conditions. While on a dyno the rollers never change and load is always the same so even little changes are noted. Can you post a pic or two of the timing maps? I hope we can help you out with this.
