We've been running the series 2 aem in my car for a long time now. I was fed up hunting for a good ecu. I just feel more comfortable knowing my ecu is not a 20 year old unit and have it shit out on me in the middle of a competition. Comes down to funds. ITB's are the right route but depends what you have left over to play with. I spent time reading and learning the aem and managed to fire up my 2.3 on the ems and drove it up to Jamie. He had the rest dialed in with ease.

Map sensor and iat sensor if you are manifold... or some sort of tps that fits your itbs and an iat if you're going that route

I don't know what Nemu can do but you can look it up and compare

The Nemu can do most of what's listed above. If you don't own a dedicated track car and want a great stand alone at a great price then nismotronic is in my opinion the best option. Aem has tons of features and I have used it with great results but it's not user friendly and even with the plug and play option it's not as easy as the Nemu.

I have run and tuned both EMS systems and I choose to run Nemu in my street car.

Aem: full stand alone with just about limitless options, great for 500hp+ track cars, 1.5-2k$ with full options when tuned.

Nemu: full stand alone tons of options very easy to use, great for 500hp or less track or street cars (will support over 500hp) 600-1k$ with full options when tuned.

I have no doubt the list is very long. The more you get into things, the more you'll see missing from Nismotronic. Individual fuel and ignition trims* come to mind (I really benefit from this) and traction control without the need for wheel speed sensors. That's not to say Nismotronic won't catch up (they are making huge advances all the time), but AEM has had 20 years to develop their systems and it still shows. It's not only the features that excel, but the integration and ease of use of everything IMO.
The price is what makes Nismotronic really compete, and I can't wait to get my hands on one in the next few months so I can give a much more informed opinion on the two compared. I don't think you could really go wrong with either one right now. It's nice to finally have a Nissan ECU-based solution that really competes on most levels that I can recommend to folks. It seems Nismotronic is where Hondata was maybe 5 years ago and seems to be progressing just as quickly.

*Edit: I was wrong, Nismotronic does have individual cylinder fuel and ignition trims. They are really filling out their spec sheet and I'm obviously way behind the times on their stuff. They move fast.

Not sure where or when the myth got started, but there is no engine hp limitation based on the ECU running it.

NismotronicSA/NEMU also has the following features:
Boost by gear
Flex fuel support
4MB internal data logging
Set launch RPM without connecting laptop
Fuel pump control without connecting laptop
Uses stock CAS

Please read the features listed on the NismotronicSA Package page before commenting. Individual cylinder fuel and ignition trims ARE included.

I stand corrected. Great progress over there guys. I am really looking forward to tuning one of your systems, which is in the plans for me pretty soon.
