Did you even bother to read the help section, the Nismotronic section, email John or any of the numerous sources of info regarding setting this up?? Did you not read any setup info before installing the board??

Plug ECU into harness, plug ECU into computer via USA cable, turn key to OCC/On positions, make sure the ecu/computer are synced up, open up the bin, load to ECU

Please go and read the help section that is provided WITH the ecu and is on top of the Nismotronic software window

Good luck!

I read the help section and I thought I understood it better then I actually do. I just can't get Nismotronic to open the BIN file. From what I seen it only opens TDC files. Thats what confusing me.

Well, there is your problem. John has mentioned on several occasions the BIN file format is not supported by the NISMOTRONIC software, so you are not crazy by any means

BIN files are NOT recognized by Nismotronic. However, there are several base files in the startup calibrations folder to which you can use to get the car started and running (and even a base maps for several configurations). You can get the car running on any of these setups and change your injector/MAF to compensate if a base map is not present

And it uses a TCD not TDC. John has the ability to change a BIN to a TCD file as well

Let us know how it goes

TDC is what I meant.

Ok not loading BINs makes sense now. The TDC folder don't have any VE files to work with. I am assuming I use the SR20DE(hybrid)Starting Calibration? Also is there a way to make sure the board is doing its job? I tried live logging at least the Battery voltage but nismotronic isnt reading anything. I followed the Demo video but my car isnt reading.

I REALLY hate asking so many questions...

I am unsure is John has any basemaps for a VE so you may gave to send him an email to request and see. However, you can use whatever base map is close enough to the VE engine setup (you may want to run the 9.5:1 compression map since it's the closest to the VE compression). However, it WILL be off for several reasons, but it will be a start and you can get the car running until then (ofroucse, I would recommend NOT delving too much above 30-40% throttle just for safety reasons)

The SA will not start logging until the car is initially started. However, check to make sure you are not in record mode, as that will give the sense of everything being "static" when in essence, it will be recording

Let me know if that works

Its just not my day. Now I cant hear my fuel pump(changed to the 333inj) priming when I turn the key on which means my car isn't firing. Hoping its just a fuse.

That ADC break out board doesnt need to by plugged in at all times right?

Check the fuel pump fuse to make sure it didn't blow from all the cranking

Also for the breakout box, only if you have things wired to it (like how your wideband should be wired). So in essence, yes, it should be plugged it/wired up

Try loading up a B13 base map and disconnect the VVL solenoids to keep it on low cams. Make sure you have
1) The correct injectors selected (or is scaled correctly, which the NEMU should take care of)
2) The correct MAF selected

The car should start up (it may struggle a little as the timing will be off as timing also affects idle). If not, go ahead and disconnect the fuel pump fuse and try cranking. The NEMU should begin to register and "log" values

what you should do is load a normal ass B13 "TCD" from the startup calibrations.. then goto fuel trims > Injectors and set your injector size, and if need be go to the Setup tab > maf load > vq table and set the correct maf sensor.. then hit the upload button or CTRL U. do this all with the key in the off position, then once thats all done try to start the car.

Download this.

www.j-k-tuning.com/NT_DEMO/Startup%20Calibrations.zip

It has the new startup calibrations in it for the SR20VE.

Then simply change your MAF and hit upload and it should get you going.

Make sure to do your initial upload with the key in the OFF position!
