@Phat_sx not real sure man, I popped them to try and see if it would reset the ecu just so that maybe it would come out of limp mode. I do believe that the tune is stored on the board, even if the battery dies i dont thin it would kick the tune, but I am not sure.

Either way it didnt work for me.

Other day I decided to try out the theory of assigning the same port# to both adapters, and while I had the ecu out and taken apart, it must have really kicked the bucket b/c when I put it back together and back in- it didnt even send signal to the fuel pump to prime.

@Vadim @Cliff

I got a core b14 ecu and plugged it up and it primed the fuel pump which was a relief, but the car wouldnt turn over. Since I replaced the dizzy I knew the timing would be a bit off (being that I eyeballed the mark on the old to the new) but I am not sure if this will even work since my MAF is not a stock maf. I am using a maf from an altima/pathfinder. Its getting spark from what I can tell, but it sends my plugs swimming again and wont fire.

Im truly tired of fucking with this. I could shell the 500 itll take to get another RT calum, but that tune is long gone and I am afraid that it will never run the same. I def dont have the money for a nemu as they are way too expensive. Plus, I cant confirm at this point that the ECU was even the real reason the car is a paper-weight in the first place.

Ready to push the car into traffic.

the really annoying this is that @jer_760 has the tune on his laptop, and even told me (when his phone was still on) that he was coming by to give it to me, and also try and help find the problem since he and another wired it up when the motor went in. But he is MIA and still has not come by to get this sr16 tranny. story of my life.

You'd shell out 500 trying to find another calum when NEMU is 550?

Nemu is not just 550 kind sir. I wish. You need a core and a step down. Try taxes and shipping 8 bills.

If you do it yourself...

KA Series ECU Rebuild Kit

The core from John used to be $50, so you'd probably be better finding your own;
and shouldnt have tax unless you are in the same state as him.

no thanks... I have two kids under 3... I dont even have time just to watch a movie. There is no way I can undertake that at this point. Me and wires dont really get along in the first place.

Question for all... did the RT version2 have the same board as the version1 just different programming? When I popped this one open it says RT version one on the board. I was told, albeit by a source that I havent fully trusted in sometime, that it was calums latest version that had launch control and could also switch the cams among other things.
I am wondering if it really is just a RT version1... at any rate, I still wouldnt have a good tune for it.. and I cant build a base one b/c of the whole time thing.

Id like to just get a base tune on it and see if it even works. If it doesnt and the car still shows signs of being in safe mode,

ill part this damn car out for sure, then set the shell on fire just for peace of mind!!!!!

I just found the little connector so that I can hook up the laptop hd which has all of the bins on it to my usb>hd adapter thingy. Its made for the bigger desktop hard drives and wouldnt fit the laptop one. So as soon as I get the drivers downloaded and am able to browse the hd contents then I will email you the current bin that was on it as well as a few others to try out. I changed cell service and sent a message to everyone in my contacts with the new number, I guess your number wasnt saved in the SIM that I put in this phone cause it was an older one

I'm stumped on what it could be, best advice (for a cheap soluition) that I can give at this point is have someone burn your current tune to a chip and run a $100 basic board.
