Chipped ECU gurus step inside please.

Ok so i'm going to be swapping a VE in my B13 pretty soon and even though i posted a WTB thread for an ecu i'm having no luck perhaps i need to give it some more time and wait but i'm running out of time here. I have a JWT ecu with a turbo tune that I will be running in the future when I turbo the car so my question is this........... Can i buy a chip burner and some chips and load a VE bin on the chip and drop that in the JWT ecu no problem? My setup is pretty simple completely stock SR20VE, VE 333cc injectors, N60 maf I appreciate all the help you guys have given me in the last couple of pre-swap threads i have created and i'm looking forward to some more great info.

No, those chips are different than the ones used for normal basic boards. What you can do, is buy a basic board (Moates sells them) and burn what ever tune you want on it. The board will plug right in to the socket that the JWT is sitting in. Then go back to the JWT board when you wish. Or if i was you, just sell the JWT and get a basic (or realtime) and have it tuned when you get your setup finalized.

Hmm i like the basic board idea going to look into that right now. Now with the moates basic board and chips those use bin files correct?

That's one crazy ass tune you got there. Is that for a drag car? You have to use race gas or is that for octane rating of a non-US country?

p.s. you can call JWT and get a retune for $100.

Thats Sealti's 460+ AWHP ecu before he went standalone i'll be plenty safe running it at 15psi with 93+meth injection when i go boost. I'm not going to mess with this ecu anymore i just found this one in my garage collecting dust and i'm gonna box it up and send it to JK tuning so he can chip it or RT it and send it back to me i'm still debating if i should go basic or RT though.
