Question about all timing advance VS temp tables
I guess i understand why the ecu has these. To help raise idle in the cooler temps and maybe to help warm the engine quicker and prevent stalling when coming to a stop? am i right?

Now down to the question.

Since most of us are running extra timing over a stock/base map, do we need to lower these timing advance tables at all? or zero them out?

Im guessing "NO" because when the engine is cold it uses these other timing advance tables seperatly/before the main timing map. Or the tables are both used but the timing advance tables are all down to ZERO by the time the temp warms up when it switches to the Main timing table. Thus no issues and concerns and leave the tables alone. Just wanted to make sure!

"Idle Ignition Timing" is used when the throttle is closed, and "Idle Warmup Advance" is added to that table's value to advance the throttle closed timing during warmup.

"ECT Timing Advance" is used when throttle is open and is added to the "Ignition Table" value.

ahh shit. again i forgot to go back and read the files with tunercode. I have read them all many times before and i though it used these tables seperatly and did not add to the main table.....

So im going to go ahead and reduce the values by 5deg where i can, and zero out the rest on the "ECT Timing Advance" table since im n/a and have higher timing in some areas.

Bad idea?

I would start with the base TCD values and tune from there.
