Thread: ECU from a G20 94 will it work in a 98 SE-R?

I have a 94 G20 ECU that i just bought, thought it was a 95 SE-R ECU as that is what it was in but when I looked it up on JWT it is a 94 G20 with manual trans.

I want to use it in my 98 SE-R but not sure if it will work.

It will work. You need to swap a few pins on your harness.

Lucky you, you got a better ECU than the 95 SE-R ECU... It will work.

What makes it better? I see more than a few have done this, but is their an advantage to the G20 ECU?

I saw the wiring 98 Sentra to 95 -97 ecu, but it didn't mention the 94 G20. I guess the 94 G20 was OBDII were the 94 Sentra was OBDI?
