Timing/Fuel maps
These are the timing/fuel maps I am running on my B14 w/ Calum RT. I was wondering what others think, particularly the timing map. I am trying to get the turbo to spool somewhat faster without running too high of temps and without sacrificing power. I am at full boost around 4.5k - 5k. My setup is JDM DE+T, GT2871R @ 15psi, S4 cams, subie injectors @ 4bar, O2 induction manifold. I know spool is going to be delayed because of the cams and O2 mani, but it still seems to lag a bit much. Anyone have any comments/suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Whats your actual af's when your at WOT. I've noticed you can run a bit leaner down low but once full boost no higher then 12.0. And I thought DE's ran less timing at like 15 max? My DET was at 21, but that was calums map. I can send you a base calumn map that he had tuned if you want thats safe.

I am seeing afr's of pretty much exactly what the map is set at...right around 11.5:1. It will stay at 14.7 until right about 0-1 psi then start dropping through the 13's to the 12's pretty quick during initial spool and it bottoms in the mid 11's from about 8-10 psi all the way to 15psi at redline. I have no clue of the timing is correct during spool or if that might be hurting the spool time.

What's your email, I'll send a tune for DE he had so you can compare. His timing was usually pretty good.

I was comparing my map with Calum's map, and they are pretty similar except from about 35-53 TP, which is during spool on my car. The timing on my car is about 10* advanced during this area compared with Calum's tune. The TP scales are different from his map to my map, so I don't know if I'm comparing them correctly. In this picture, the top map is Calum's tune, and the bottom is my tune with my TP scale next to it to show the difference in timing/TP scale. Am I missing something or should my engine be knocking really bad during spool with that much timing advance? I'm kinda confused.

I think your tp is really low, mine goes to about 102... maybe try expanding it?

With that setup (almost same as mine) your tp will be way higher your probably not knocking bc your living in the last col and the ecu is interperlating the rest.

My highest tp value is at 95....I've only reached about 100 when data logging with Nissan datascan. How would increasing it some help? Anything higher than 95 would read off the 95 column correct? I'm mostly concerned with the spool area of the map....just before peak torque.
