Thread: Fuzzy n00b to tuning.. double checking

ok so i picked up a b13 Calum RT ecu and im trying to setup a laptop for it.

my laptop runs windows 7 64 bit

so far i downloaded and installed TunerPro RT

picked up the b13 and b14 RT xdf's also the beta one from this old thread http://www.sr20-forum.com/tuning/40511-beginners-guide-chipped-ecu-tuning.html#post522671

i understand i need drivers for TunerPro RT to detect my ecu and i get them from ftdichip.com do i download this setup executable http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM20824_Setup.exe for windows?

what else do i need to download and install. this laptop is strictly for tuning and online use. no game or any programs other then whats necessary is on it as i just replaced the hdd and did fresh install of os.

just making sure i got everything and all guides are old

I also use nissandatascan 1.4 it'll let you view engine data and put into idle/timing mode. Also calum made a program that will stream all engine data including tp to logworks.

know where i can get the said program?

nvm found and installed calumsult with the TP and LW2 betas

Is nissan datascan 1.4 free?

ive got the laptop drivers done and just needing to load up on programs now. already installed TunerPro RT and Em Utility also

need to find a bin now to throw in the ecu

There is an unregistered version for free that provides some functionality and lets you get an idea of how it looks and feels. The full version costs $50.00. I'm not sure that it's going to add any capabilities to what you already have.

I downloaded LogWorks 3. Is there anything im missing to download? any plug-ins for 1 of the programs i need or stuff?

do i load up a b13 or b14 bin/rom in the ecu for my car? i have a b14
