Thread: ECCS Relay does not shut off

My car got a ignition short to ground on the distributor wiring and one of the veins from the ECU got burned and I fixed since the fuel pump was not priming now the ECCS relay does not shut off and the car stays on even with the switch off if I disconnect the relay ECCS it shuts off..
Any help would be appreciated!!

I have had this happen in 1 other case, and never resolved the issue.

I wish I could be of more help, but definitely sounds like you will have to replace a component in the ECU to fix it.

Moved to Tuning section, since this is a general tuning issue.

Could be a short somewhere in the harness. I would disconnect the battery and check every non-power wire in the engine harness for shorts to power, and every non-grounded wire for shorts to ground.

There is a White/Green wire that comes from the ECU to turn on that relay. It should go low (to ground) to turn on the relay when the IGN is turned on. If that is staying low while the car is off there is something wrong with the ECU.

Replace the relay next to the ECU (green) also make sure the CJ1 or CJ2 jumper are in place.

Yes the problem Its the ECU but i think I found its a diode next to the vein burned that its letting current back to the relay
But a temporary aid its tu run the car without the relay it works OK
So until then it runs

el problema es el diodo en la computadora el grande.. por lo general yo le pongo uno de ecu de ga16 y lo resuelvo. o compras uno en radio shack hehe




si la bomba dejo de trabajar chekea los transistores de 3 patas. la del medio se quema deves remplasar



mira y recuerda que sin el relay no le llega la carga del alternador a la computadora y solo resive l carga de la bateria o una carga menor.. y tiende a fallar no se si recuerdas la ves que fuia tu casa y nos dimos cuenta de esoo..
nada cambiale el diodo eso me a pasado a mi un safacon de veses jejej
