Basically one of the most interesting setting in megasquirt is the " injector timing table ", especially if you're on NA.
I seen many people show the engine revving video and throttle response is so sluggish if they start rev up from idle or anything below 2k rpm. They seems ok with it, I wonder if driving experience will be a lot worst compare to stock ECU ' for street use.

Just imagine the injector timing as compare to the ignition timing and you will get the picture. To get best throttle response and the directness of acceleration. You will have to make sure to configure these setting properly.
Throttle Signal Sensitivity
Injector Timing, just play around to find the best result
Accel enrichment base on throttle ( 30% ) , MAP based enrichment ( 20% ) , Wall-wetting AE , Be it EAE or X-tau (40%)

you will find enormous difference if you set these setting right, engine will response lively and the directness is at least 3 times better than stock ECU.

For sr20ve engine, you will need to play around the map based enrichment + aircond idle up setting to get a smooth transition of RPM when turning on aircon, since this engine have independence PWM IAC unit and aircon on-off type idle valve.

For the cas disc option, im have no experience on the AEM's disk , maybe people can upload your aem cas disc photo to forumer , i do not recommend to get the cas disc from diyautotune ( the seller of megasqure system ), their design is " ok " but the production quality is just bad, the quality is just SUX as it is a little bit bent when it's arrive. No way to get it 100% flat due to the steel material selection, it can cause serious cranking issue if it goes bend further, bending cause the signal interval too much off.

I end up with modifying the stock 360 slot disk to be come 36 slot, i didnt suffer any loss signal anymore. Tested @ 9000 rpm so far, the output signal is clean and clear
Just block 3 of the 4 slot in secondary slot. If you want to get 18 crank + 1 cam signal pattern.
You can now have an option to delete the distributor cap with some mod and get COP from other engine. The stock sr20ve ignition coil having hard time to produce strong spark at high rpm range ( 7500+ ), which we suppose need stronger spark at those rpm range.

The wheel is laser cut.. It does flex.. Once it's bolted in it remains flat.. The surface area of the wheel bolt system is huge some 25-30mm . Way more then enough to keep it flat.. I have done probably 40-50 installs.. Never any signal loss to 9500rpm .. I bench tested with a CAS to like 12500ish RPM with a grinder motor.. No loss

I have had loss of spark on a few cars.. Lower voltage due to lazy ALT or just lazy coils .. Bring dwell down to as low as 2.1ms will fix this usually ..

True, but you can only get max 1.8ms dwell when you rev over 8000rpm if you do the math.
Dont forget you need to spare a little bit of time for spark duration.

COP or waste spark make perfect combination, i personally prefer cop setup due to lower cost and less component, no more spark plug cable.

Exactly.... I did get the VWAG coils working on my SR... They require a PNP Tranistor with a supported higher 600mA current ... COP should give you longer Dwell too as it fires every 720deg . Yah

Nice coil ! Is the seal sit perfectly on the cover ?
I use honda K20A coil but need a lot of work just to do the sealing and support plate bracket.
I got a set GSXR 750 CDI coil too, i borrow a MSD CDI ignition driver from friend to do testing on my car, it feel great on top rpm range but having little bit of misfire if i set the AFR too lean , my idle and cruising afr was around 15.5 -16. Normal throttle around 14.5-15 and full throttle or anything above 80% load will be around 12.50.
It seems CDI coil love heavier afr, it will be perfect for those turbo-head. Not-So-Great for street NA cheapass like me.

Yes the VWAG coils fight really tight in ... They press in easy but you really have to pull them out... I am 100% sure NOTHING is leaking past them.... THey are less then $20 a coil here new...

can you supply website or store to get the vw coil packs?
