Finding MBT utilizing a EGT and a Wideband
What is your method of finding MBT?

Do you utilize a Wideband and a EGT sensor to help in finding Maximum Brake Torque?

I've been doing a lot of research on tuning and i'm curious on what some of you guys use to find your MBT.

Any suggestions, tips or info that is shared would be a great deal of help.

I'm pretty sure MBT usually stands for "Mean Best Torque".

I use a dynamometer to find it. I don't think there is any other way. Once you find it at one RPM though you can use EGTs to find it at other RPM.

Yea, i've read several books that referenced them as both "Mean Best Torque" as well as "Maximum Brake Torque"..

Care to share any insight on how you find it on a dynamometer?

Is it based on what you see on the graph or?
