sounds to me like he's running full standalone guys. The cold start enrichment table should take car of his problem.

Could be because there is no EGR. My JDM DE swapped B13 does this. If the computer thinks there is EGR flow and you don't have EGR, it can cause detonation. Seems like you'd be able to tune that out. I am running a stock B13 ECU so I just let my car warm up before driving it.

Its a daughter board on this car, and cleaning the maf definately made a difference, also richened the mixture on cold start, was a b13 based rom, clearly the VE engine like a bit more fuel on cold start for some reason.

This is a p11 primera with a factory fitted sr20ve and manual conversion from CVT, so there could be something to do with things.
