AEM Series 1 capable of running peak and hold?
Wondering if I can run my 1000cc msd's on the 30-1600 on the stock harness without resistors.
Thanks for any info.

I'm inclined to assume they can't. Check their forum, you should find out with a search.

I have searched but no real answers.
People are saying the series 1 v1 silver cant but the series 1 v2 black can.

I will just run a resistor box from a honda and call it good measure.

That's what I'm reading from the link you provided as well. That seems 100% clear to me.

Do you have a Version 1/Series 1/silver case AEM unit? Then it won't handle P&H on its own. You will need the resistors.

Do you have the new Version 2/Series 2/black case AEM unit? If so, that handles P&H on its own. No resistors needed.

Thanks. I've learned something too.

That is confusing... Make a call to AEM and get a tech on the line. They will know instantly. That might be the only way to figure it out for sure, since you have a rare Series 1 Version 2 ECU with a black case. =/

Yep, I've heard of those... They aren't common. This is really one of those things you should call AEM tech about. Their number is hard to find. Here it is: 310-484-2322
