Honestly, ultimates are nice but you are better off chasing a chipped ECU down, or saving a lil more for a realtime. With these options open for the SR20 there is no sense going into piggybacks anymore, especially SAFC

jwt ecu or calum basic or calum real time.

this will be your cheapest most logical answer. the calum real time or the newer styled real time ecus your best bet.

ive used every tunning method or devic and to be completely honest, price and ease of use you cant beat the chipped ecus.

this is coming from a guy who runs a aem series 2 standalone.

stratton.

By the time you sell the safc and save the core charge you can go nistune. Calum is a good option if you find one. I had a GReddy emanage blue at one point and I sold it because if i recall you can only tune a 6krpm band. for me that's a deal breaker.

I tune mine up to 8500rpm. You can re-scale the maps.

He told me he's OBD2, so it might be hard for him to find a calum. I think a calum is the best option though.

what do you mean by tune a 6k rpm band?

either way hunt down a real time like everyone else says, i am pretty experienced with the emanage and i got my car to run very smooth on it using alot of hacks and tricks, but they are always little hiccups and bugs i just couldnt get out. Dont get me wrong it worked pretty damn good and its 100x better than a safc but if you can find a nistune or calum realtime i would go with that.

If you don't mind converting to OBD1 with a step down harness, we offer a realtime ECU package that would suite your needs!
