Tuning with lower compression
Okay, I have this question buzzing in my head for a while now.

In the future, I plan to replace my old SR20DE with an SR20VE.

I have a Calum RTv2, with a stock VE program, except for a DE MAF.

Hoewever, the VE will get a lower CR for a while, until I have saved up enough money to go turbo.

What do I have to modify on the .bin to accommodate for the lower compression (being 9:1 from CP Pistons)? Timing? Fuel? Other?

Let me know!

If you dont touch the tune it will be safe.

you can add some timing for the lack of compression. I would assume you would be a little rich also but nothing crazy.

It will feel a little weaker with 10.3cr timing on 9cr one, other then that it should work fine.

Okay. Thank you. But what needs to be done to adjust for the 9 CR, trying to get the best results?

And adding timing = advance or retard? Just for my mental picture :P. But you mean making the numbers on the map higher :P
