Great 2.4 vvl tune
yesterday i upload, to my calum rt ecu, a 2.4 vvl bin sent to me by jamie (sr20gti-r). then i take the car for an extended test drive. i stopped a couple miles from the house to fill up and reset the trip meter at that time. if its too small to read, it says 296.4! look how much fuel is remaining!! when i go to fill up again i'll bet it won't take 8 gallons. that equates to upper 30's mpg. remember, i was on a test drive (albeit a long one) with countless runs to 7.5k rpms in 2nd and 3rd gear and a couple 125+mph blasts thrown in for giggles. anyway, back to the tune. 1st impression was smoothness without the touchy throttle that too much timing gives you. i stopped around 30 miles from home and hooked up the laptop. i added only 1* in a few blocks in the low to mid range area and re-gained a little sotp. i think there is still a tiny bit more that can be squeezed out. and the fuel table... very smooth and progressively richer afr's as the revs climb under heavy throttle. i can't thank him enough for the help he gave me with this tune. if anyone needs some help with a calum rt tune, this is THE guy to contact.
