yes it should match the screen shot exactly.

Check, check and check.

I don't see where you're referring to.

Okay, Cotrim just said different. Elaborate.

Got it.

Got it. So set fuel injection phase to 8 teeth, and ignition phase to 4.3 to start with.

btw even if the injector phase tooth number is wrong the car will still start and run. I know this because we dropped ben's tune on my car and forgot to change that value. His was different due to the cop setup. i did not find this out until My car was on the dyno being tuned.

Cliff what base tune are you using? the injector phase tooth value should be set to 9 according to the screen shot. Your starting value could be different depending on the base calibration. These are the only instructions I have seen from aem and they do not talk about the different values in some base maps.

Mike, see attached.

The original base file I used is named 1610 MAP 200SX-G20-Sentra.V1.19.

Cliff I see what you are talking about the injector phase value was lower on the base map putting you at a final value of 8 vs 9. I think aem was kinda vague on the instructions with a one size fits all approach. I would use the value of 9 but I know the car will start at 8 as long as the base timing and throttle have been set. btw with ben's map I had my value set to 2 and my car would still start and run. Its now set to 9 after the turner set my car up.

Well we made some decent progress thanks to everyone here and Ben via telephone.

It doesn't idle yet; it fires up almost instantly after cranking and dies. Ben seems to think that it's not getting nearly enough fuel, so we'll be working those issues out later on in the week, if not next weekend.

I think once we can get it to idle SOMEWHERE, we can set the base timing/idle and then start tweaking maps slightly so that it can be driven around casually, at least.

I followed the "Injector phasing guide" tab from this spreadshee

AEM FORUMS spreadsheet for tuning calculations - tuneitformev2.1.xls

Yeah, Injector phasing being off 1 tooth is not going to hurt anything. Hell you could have it 180 deg out or 12 teeth out and it will still run just wont have a good idle because the fuel will be spraying way too early.

1 tooth off will be fine, 8-9 is close enough and is what mine was set to.

Here is a print screen of the table you need to 0 out. I really dont know why they have this table on there. It makes for a very shitty unstable Idle. I find its much better to have it 0'd so the idle stays where the ignition map is and just set your ignition based on that.
