AEM owners with VE's: Chime in!
A buddy of mine locally has a sweet b13 track prepped, with an AEM standalone. Problem is he doesn't have a base map to start from...

Anyone that can help would be awesome! He needs something that can get him driving to the convention for a tune.

I haven't spoken to him yet. I didn't know if he had any experience with AEM. If he does, then that's fantastic. I'll call him today.

Anyone else just in case?

I'm assuming he has done this, and didn't like the outcome. He's looking for something a little more roadworthy.

I don't believe he has, yet. Once I get some solid time to sit down with him, I'm going to mess around with his car a bit and see what we can come up with. I hear AEM may have a VE map somewhere on their forum.

not that i have seen. i would recomend using a map sensor and not the maf. if so he can run the de base map and the car should start. i have no experiance with a maf equiped aem. this a v1 or v2 aem?

Pretty sure he's using a MAP/IAT and not MAF. Still haven't linked up with him, but downloading AEM software shortly and will dig through the maps.

All you have to do is load a de basemap and go into the injector size table and put in the stock injector size for that base map 259 and stock fuel pressure 43psi and then put in the new injector size and new fuel pressure if he is still running stock then 333 and 43psi it will automatically recalibrate the fuel table and should get him pretty close.

Assuming he has got the car running and such with the map sensor and so on. If not then just need to set up the other parameters to match. Especially the CAS disk type whether he is using the stock CAS disk or the 24-1 disk. But from the sound of it it looks like he already has the car running so should just be a matter of using that fuel injector calculator to rescale the map.
