AEM paperweight
Can anyone help me with a calibration for my sr20det? its the first verison of the AEM EMS. I have started over so many times its not even funny. There is something missing and I cant seem to find it. i do have the CAS installed, running a 5.2 aem map, 1000cc precision injectors, very little boost for now, first 1000 miles on fresh build......any help would be great......

What are you having trouble with? Does the engine crank? Does it fire? Does it catch? Does it idle?

car cranks, and sparks. A few days ago I could get it crank and crank and crank, finally fire with WOT, real high idle, if I touched the throttle it would die. But now I have started over on a base cali, and haven't had any luck. I also sent you a pm about this too. Thnx for the help bro

did you dial the fuel map back for those enormous injectors?

After talking with him on the phone I'm pretty sure his Ignition Sync setting is wrong. I'm sending him a calibration and also explained how to easily set the Ignition Sync.

James, the calibration I sent assumed 3-bar base fuel pressure. You'll want to change the fuel table accordingly if you're running something different.

You also said you were using 1,000cc Precision Turbo injectors and I looked those up to find that they should be low impedance. If they are not low-z, you'll also want to change that in the injector battery offset wizard or whatever.

Another nice thing I'll do is take the coils out and leave the spark plugs in them and crank the car while recording the firing order with a camera (or a keen eye is all you need) to make sure all plugs are firing and in the proper order.

I'm sure you know how to test the fuel injectors.

Once you have that going on it's just a matter of getting that Ignition Sync number set correctly.
