Avenir Bin File Issue
I have an Avenir swap done, been running it for about a year now on the stock ECU. i recently bought a b13 Calum realtime, and downloaded the Nistune ROMpack. When I put a stock 95N11 BIN file on it, it runs, but bogs heavily around 4000 rpm, and will cut out under WOT. I tried loading the stock 95N15 BIN file(which is what my stock ECU is) but it wont even start. Now, using TunerProRT, I started it with the 95N11 BIN, and switched it to 95N15 while it was on. It ran MUCH better, just like my stock ECU. So i turned the ignition off while rolling, and turned it back to on, and pop-started it, but it didnt turn back on.. Grrr.. I have checked both BIN files and see no difference in fuel maps or timing maps, everything is just about the same maybe one or 2 values that are different. Any ideas what is wrong?

You have an Avenir (A turbo motor), and you are trying to run a stock DE tune (NA motor). That will be your problem. Unless you have an 8.5:1 block with no turbo.

If you are still on a DET, then the stock tune is starving the injectors (stock 259cc, DET 370cc).

sorry, let me clarify. I have been running the stock JDM Avenir ECU(23710-95N15), for over a year with no problems. I tried loading that bin onto my realtime, and it wouldn't start. I loaded the 23710-95N11 BIN(95-97 W10 Avenir iirc) onto it, but it runs like crap. Any ideas what it could be?

Maybe post up the two BIN files? Might help finding the issue.

They are stock BIN's from the NISTune ROMpack. I couldn't find anything that would make them behave so differently, but let me know if you see anything

I just noticed that you switched BIN's while the car is running. Never do that. You can only upload the same bin while the car is running. I really hope that didn't have any ill effects .

Then BIN's have identical tunes (Timing, fuel, etc.), but have very ECU code. This would explain why the new BIN would not run right.

What you need to do is take the BIN that works and start tuning it out .

Thats what i figured, but the thing that irks me, is that i SHOULD be able to run the 95N15 BIN on my realtime, and have it running exactly like my actual 23710-95N15 ECU runs, right? could it be something wrong with the RT ECU?

Nope, unless your ECU part numbers are identical. Nissan changed bins just about every year. Look at B14 stock bins in Nistune rom pack. There are about 5 of them (B14's have been out from 1995-1999).

Thus you have to find a bin specific for your part number ECU, and work with that. Otherwise you'll get some funky things like you have experienced.

Well, thats what I'm saying.

of the Avenir motors, the W10 motors came with the following ECU part numbers:
23710-95N11
23710-95N15

W11 motors came with the following ECU part numbers:
23710-WA310
23710-WA311
23710-WA720
23710-WA721

When i bought my motor, using the turbo center cartridge part number, i found it was a W10 Avenir. Then looking at the ECU that the importer gave me with the motorset, it has part number 23710-95N15. this ECU works perfectly. I have tried using the 95N15 BIN that i posted, which should be an exact image of the ECU i am running, but it does not start. using the "incorrect" BIN file gets my car running, but with weird stumbling/idle/cutting issues. That makes sense to me. I dont get why, using the BIN which matches my ECU, my car will not start. Its so frustrating. Any other ideas?

Whats the "turbo center cartridge part number"? I'm surprised Nissan had only two different ECU's for W10's.
