If you buy a Bosch 15727 universal sensor, it will come with a 4 wire plug. You can wire that into the messed up harness .

Just buy a direct replacement and there is no confusion. They are not that much money. Also when you crimp them they always come loose and cause problems.

Does the direct replacement thread into the bluebird turbo mani?
since this o2 sensor hole in my mani is decidedly small than a standard o2 bung im going to guess not?
I have no problem running the 3 wire sensor, just need to find one that fits the bung in the turbo mani.

you can unscrew the bung and replace it with your us spec one. Take it off the stock de manifold. Then use a us spec o2 sensor that plugs right in.

If he has a SS, which he made it sound like he did when he posted in the Regrounding O2 Sensor thread, then 4 wire is a must. Now that he is saying that he has a BB manifold with a JDM plug I know he doesn't know what he is talking about...

red91sr, go get a stock plug and call it a day. Make sure to look up the wiring before you start splicing wires together.

Wow man! your right i dont know what im talking about but i did give a brief rundown of my setup in the first post in this thread. i listed my turbo setup as well, someone suggested it was the o2 so that was going to be my starting point which with what i found with the crappy connections and the one o2 wire at the sensor hanging on by one wire im glad it was the first thing i checked. Really man, if i knew what i was talking about would i even be in here asking questions? this motor is still relatitively
new to me. Somehow i guess i offended you and for that i appologize, not sure what i did but i must have done something. Ill figure it out from here. To all those who posted up advice and tried to help me out i thank you. you deff pointed me in a direction that at the very least helped me discover a problem with my o2. may not fix my problem but was deff another problem waiting to happen.

thanks again!

Sorry man I'm just annoyed at people wrecking other people's threads by HELP ME NOW! GO HERE NOW! When it's completely irrelevant to the original topic, then your posting style just put the cherry on top.

Now because you posted in a 4 wire O2 sensor thread, which is meant for SS headers not for cast iron's, and you posted asking for help, that told me you had an SS header and where having issues with O2 sensor. Now since you like add a new post per train of thought, it was hard to keep up, and I quite frankly gave up.

It just seems like your need something fixed but don't really want to do the work yourself. Your lucky our forum is a different place then in was just a few years back. Before you would have been swamped with "Search Newb!" posts.

Also this is the prime reason I do all the work myself, you learn something new and you know exactly what you installed. In your case you need to find the regular full sized O2 sensor bung for you Jpipe now. Then you can start using regular USDM sensors no problem.

Thats cool, I was just looking for some help with the wiring mess I ran into.
I did in fact know I didnt need the 4 wire sensor but thought I'd get one and ground it properly to avoid anymore of my obviously hacked to hell factory wiring.

I know doing that in other threads is annoying as I have been in your mod/admin shoes before. Thats why I asked that it be deleted in a short time after yourself and some others had noticed it.

I would get the 4 wire one simply because they are cheaper . I usually can find them for $40 shipped on eBay or through rock auto (after discounts). On my stock p11, I used the 4 wire one and had no problems too.

We just get a ton of this stuff, some days it's just the cherry on top after a busy day . Anyway good luck with the fix

Probably will use the 4 wire like I had planned, also just got off the phone with Greg V and was talking to him about the situation and ordering the bung I need for my mani.

He brought up a good point in that the smaller o2 sensor could have in fact been causing some if not all of my problem because it would not be the right one for my USDM ECU. Which makes sense if its not seeing the proper voltage.

Sounds good on paper anyway???
Like I said above if this doenst fix it ill pull the VAFC and see what happens then.

Actually that would make perfect sense. Also using JDM sensors on USDM ecu will lead to problems. I'm thinking Water sensor/sender and might be one or two others besides the O2.
