The one reason im hesitant to just hook it up basically like it is and extend the grey(what I believe is the ground wire??? not sure now??) is that from day one since i bought this car the idle has been goofy.
Having to add fuel at 1k in the low throttle settings to make it livable, now am I way off base here in thinking that if the wiring for the o2 was shit that it would cause this symptom?

This is something that i should have tracked down along time ago but like my sig says this is my ghetto garage queen but im depending on it more and more hence needing to get this recitifed ASAP.

Thank you all for you input and any more ideas would and will be greatly appreciated, i promise!

Sorry my mistake, gray is ground black is signal.

Stop posting so many different posts, modify your other post if no one replied yet. I am not going to even bother reading all of them until you clean it up.

Sorr, when it comes to something techinical and easily confussed like this i like to include all the dtails i can, I know sometimes I take it too far and I apologize.

I went and looked at it again and i feel i have it figured out, if you would please delete my post in the o2 thread. Hopefully no one else will end up with such a hacked swap as mine ever again.

Guessing what wire is what based on wire color can be dangerous. I suggest taking the time to trace and verify each wire from the ECU connector, because that is the only place where you know exactly what each wire is for.

Cheers,
Dave

Ok more fun found, after removing the ols o2 found one of the wires hanging on by one strand of wire. Now I really think this has ben my problem, BUT after looking at noticed the threads on it where it screws in the bung are almost half the size of the bosch unit....

back to square one, go to autozone and con them into letting me look through all there boxes of bosch sensors. None of the threads match up!

Dave is right, do it right or you might fry your ECU and or O2 sensor.

What do you mean thread doesn't line up? Just because they look the same doesn't mean they will work the same. If you are going 4 wire, you HAVE to get 15727. DC Scotty talked to Bosch about this and they said that is the ONLY 4 wire O2 sensor that gives off similar readings as our OEM 3 wire.

No actuall diff. thread diameter. like half the size, 17mm wrench fit it. Has a nissan stamp and some numbers on it ill see if I can track down what it was originally on in the morning. I had the 15727 but there was no way it was going to thread into that size hole.

isnt the vafc for honda map sensor cars only. Map sensor voltage is different then Maf voltage. I would ditch the vafc.... The safc are maf sensor compatible.
