Ecu info
Hey guys I'm new to the whole Nissan seen more of a Honda guy (puts flame suit on) but I recently bought a 93 g20 for a daily and I'm planing on doin a de+t with oem parts. I've been trying to find info on the diffrebt ecus for the sr and the search button has given no results. My plan was to go safc but I know ur limited tuning points with it so my thinkkn was tht a bluebird or gtir or any sr20det ecu with a safc would be better then tuning a de ecu with a safc. Anybody have any insite on this. And pleas no just go buy nistune or a calum setup. I only want around 250whp but I wanna beable to have part throttle fun too. Thanks in advance

Why no Nistune or Calum? It's the right thing to do. You can't tune timing with stock ECU + SAFC.

I'm not worried about timing for the power level I want and the budget I have set. I would love having a realtime tuning solution if I come across a good deal I'll grab it but for the time being I was just plannin on goin this route. Thanks for the reply guys much aprecitated.

I assume you are using the DET 370cc injectors...
If that is the case then there is no need for you to switch ECU, just use an afc or emanage blue and you are good to go...
I used stock B13 ECU + neo afc in my T25 and T28 setup and got good results out of it...

the previously since you said you are on a budget and not wanting to go with calum or nistune (which would be better)...

I'll put it this way, afc = bandaid

calum or nistune would be like a hondata. well worth the investment.

Hondata can do a lot more than Calum with the stock firmware, with the tunercode it has very cool features...
