Using Logworks
I have a Lc-1 and I'm trying to wideband tune my car but I don't understand how. I'm not gonna make any changes at all until I actually learn what to do. I recorded a 40 second session of my car idling around 1k and the af ratio was not steady at all. It kept fluctuating between 13.6 and 14.14 but mainly staying under 14. How can I correct this, or is this normal? I saved the run but I don't know how to post it up 4 uguys 2 see it here.

It's normal for your AFR to fluctuate like that on the LC-1. I'm am also in the learning stages of using Logworks. Check out 'A noob tuning his own car (Calum RT)' by Bagato. He gives some awesome tips on using Logworks to tune. Even if you don't have a Calum RT there is a lot to learn from his experience.

If you do have a Calum RT (or a consult cable and tune even with SAFC), download the Calumsult version to use with logworks, open it up together with logworks and then logworks will register AFR + all the consult stuff (RPM, MAF V, Timing, Injector Duty Cycle and Injector Time, etc.). All you need for AFR tune.

Then it's a dyno or at least a Gtech what you need to be more comprehensive and alter timing if you have how to do so (other than the distributor recommended).

I have a Calum Rt. I've checked out that Thread and I got the directions on how to merge Calumsult w Logworks and I'm gonna give it a shot Saturday. Any advice as to where I should start? Also, how do I load up my saved logs of data?

Well most is said in that thread.

After you get the calumsult and logworks working, you should be able to see consult streams in logworks by adding new gauges. Say you choose AFR, MAF Volt, RPM, Inj Duty, TPS, Timing and any other you might be interested in, resize the gauges so they all fit nicely and do the logging using the trigger option and set it for example to start logging when TPS is more than 90% for more than two seconds with a pre-record of 2.5 secs so you dont lose any WOT moment and most importantly not having to take your eyes off the road. Also set it to stop logging two seconds after TPS is less than 90% or not WOT.

To view the logs you have so many ways to do it its not even funny: gauges, graphs, grid style... I personally like to see the gauges replay at 1/8 speed so I can pause it and take notes / make adjustments.

Play with logworks, its really useful and doesnt take long to learn the basics. As for your saved logs, what did you log AFR only? If so its useless to see AFR vs time. If you are refering to load calumsult logs in logworks I dont think it works, better make new logs with the new method.
