LSB XOR checksum
What in the world are these? Using rom editor. Was thinking maybe they had to do with launch control??

I compared the same exact bin, one with launch control and one without. There was absolutely no difference looking at the bins in rom editor. I'm assuming that launch control can't be edited through rom editor??

Now, my question is where the hell is the xdf that I need for both the b14 and b13, and is there a difference between the definition that is on tunerpro's site that is RT and the regular b13? And where is the b14? I've also read in a couple places that launch controlled is managed through the definition file but I can't find the b13 launch control xdf.

I used the difference tool in tunerpro as well to compare the same two bins mentioned earlier and came up with no results. So I'm assuming that on a b13 you can take any bin and use the xdf with launch control to add lc to that bin.

All I know is LSB stands for least significant bit and xor is a type of logical operation, I wouldn't touch it as it probably has something to do with the way the ecu is reading data

Launch control requires code changes; ie. changes to the programming. There are bins out there that supposedly contain code changes to implement a speed based rev limit. Setting the launch rev limit, rev limit hysteresis, and speed limit to control it requires an XDF with the necessary parameters defined.

Still don't know what lsb and xor checksums are but I did figure out the launch control I believe. This is on a b13 though, I wish there was an xdf for the b14 though (clears throat) Dave.

Anyways, I was always used to using rom editor to change my bins but didn't realize how much easier tunerpro rt is. I loaded the xdf for the b13 launch control and bam, there it was.

I understand that the launch limiter is simply the rpm at which the car will launch at, but I'm still not absolutely positive what the launch speed limiter is. I was assuming that when the VSS shows the ecu 24kph then the ecu will move out of the launch control into normal operation. I even read somewhere that it would probably be possible to put traction control on our cars using the rpm scale. Not even putting a sensor on the wheels, just controlling the rpm's to compensate for how quickly the rpm's rise. Pretty wild.

The launch limiter is a rev limiter that is in affect when the speed is below the launch speed limit. When the speed goes above the launch speed limit (either due to actual vehicle speed, or wheel spin), the launch limiter is skipped and the standard rev limit is in affect.

B14 is in the works.

No, it'll run on any daughter board.
