megasquirt and sr20
ok... well im going to be using a megasquirt standalone that i have in my car currently for my upcoming sr20 swap. every picture ive seen of the stock and aftermarket crank pulleys doesnt show holes for a pulley puller. i would need this to mount a 36-1 trigger wheel on it seeing as i want to use individual coilpacks. idk looking for some info from anyone who has used standalones on this platform.

I believe you're going about this all wrong. First things first though.

If you want to get your crank pulley off, there are two threaded holes in it you're supposed to use. That sort of thing can be covered in a different section though.

As for using individual coil packs with MegaSquirt... That does not require a 36-1 trigger wheel. In fact, putting a trigger wheel on the crank doesn't give you the cam data you need at all for individual coils (I am assuming you want to fire them sequentially). If you want to fire them in batch mode then I guess you could do that with just a crank angle sensor.

Regardless, I believe MegaSquirt can either read the stock CAS data or it can at least read a modified CAS disc (can purchase from AEM or VEMS forum as far as I know). Who told you that the 36-1 wheel would be necessary?

Ben , IIRC you bought a second (different than stock) nissan distributor that used the 50mm disc. Then you put an AEM disc for S13/S14. Can you tell the part number of the distributor , cause I have two different ones with internal coil and I am about to tore them apart to see what is the disc in there (hope it is a 50mm one).
And what about using the stock disc ? Just the inner circle with the 4 slots for TDC for each cylinder. It should be enough for a batch fire , not sure about sequential though. It would be e PITA to use the stock ignition , right?
