AEM EMS with Honda CBR COP.
Anyone know of anyone running this configuration? I'm having trouble getting spark, and I'm starting to think the CBR COP will not work with AEM without a CDI box. I'd love if someone could confirm this.

This is making my skeptical. I'm going to call AEM on Monday.

So the cdi can be a 6A or 6AL?

This is my post on the AEM forum: Moved EMS from Nissan S13 to B13 with Honda COP - No longer getting spark.

That's pretty weak sauce if AEM can't even drive some active COP. Seriously... WTF?
Even MegaSquirt does that.

Thank you very much jus-det-luv. I appreciate your expertise.

How do you feel about me using some MOSFETs to sort of turn the 2 wire coils into three wire ones? If you catch my drift. Let AEM switch the MOSFETs, and have the MOSFETs power the coil directly...

I contacted AEM tech yesterday. They confirmed my suspicions about the 2-wire COP problem and gave me pricing on fixing the AEM unit. I'm going to test with a 3-wire S13 coil to make sure the ignition drivers are dead before sending it out to be fixed.
I was also told AEM grounds out the ignition, so I'll be able to use that info to decide on what type of switching component I'll use.
