Miller AEAD 200LE
After my dad passed away, I inherited his garage, and everything in it. Was looking at one of his old welders. It's a Miller AEAD 200LE gas-powered ac/dc welder/generator.

Been reading up on it, and seems to be a decent welder. It puts out 5000 Watts 115/230V at idle, so would make for a decent generator too. He built a custom heavy-gauge cart for it, that probably weighs more than the welder. It's been sitting for a while, so I cleaned it up and changed the oil and such. Fired right up, and idles great. Everything seems to work on it. Does anyone have one of these, or has experience with one? Seems like a pretty good unit.

I have a mig I use mostly, but let's face it.....anyone can use a mig. My problem with ac/dc "stick" welders, is I always manage to get the rod stuck on whatever I'm welding. :P

As far as the Miller I posted about....I really don't have a need for a portable "field" welder. I guess if anything, it will make for a nice generator if we get a ton of ice this year.
